they had that game against baltimore they should have won, then they had that game against buff where pennington got hurt and the bills ran all over them. then they had that game where they should have won in new engand but they made like 2-3 major mistakes and lost a close one.

is this a good spot for the jets? they have to want to put the baltimore debacle behind them ASAP

I like the Jets, but am wary because the Brown's are a different team at home (much better). The Browns did get lit-up by the Steelers at home last week.....hopefully that trend continues today.

GAMEDAY: BROWNS vs. JETS

1:00 P.M. TODAY AT CLEVELAND BROWNS STADIUM
Capacity: 73,200. | Playing surface: Grass.
Television: WOIO Channel 19. | Radio: WMMS FM/100.7.
Coaches: Browns' Butch Davis, 24-33, in fourth season. Jets’ Herman Edwards, 32-28, in fourth season.
Series: Browns lead, 11-6.

THREE THINGS TO WATCH

1. BEWARE A HUNGRY PASS RUSHER IN HIS CONTRACT YEAR
John Abraham made the Pro Bowl two times, but there is no doubt he has cranked his game up a notch. A free agent after the season, Abraham leads the NFL with 9 1/2 sacks. Is it because of his contract status or are Jets coaches using him more wisely? You decide.

2. CALL HIM MISTER MARTIN
With 16 yards rushing, Curtis Martin will join Barry Sanders as the only players to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first 10 seasons. For those who think 1,000 yards is no longer a measure of greatness, consider that Martin has rushed for 100 yards in a game 53 times out of 149 career games.

3. ON GUARD
The Browns have had problems at the guard position all season. Meanwhile, Pete Kendall has been starting at left guard for the Jets since he joined them on Aug. 6. Where were the Browns when Kendall was cut by Arizona?
— Tony Grossi

I see the jets have the edge in both offense and defense rank. them getting willy green back kind of scares me.

Quincy Carter played very well last week. All people are talking about is how the Jets blew the game last week. But, don't forget, Clev got HUMBLED last week as well by the Steelers. The build up to that game was HUGE.
This game will tell the tale for the Jets. Either playoff bound with Pennington on the mend, or their season could be coming to a painful end. They came out early last week moving the ball, that's a good sign with a new QB.

I think the Jets show some balls and win this one, albeit hard-earned.
